The Supreme Gentleman is a re-enactment of Isla Vista killer Elliot Rodger's final youtube address. Durbin initially performed this piece for the Yes All Women art benefit and auction in Los Angeles in late 2015. The proceeds of the benefit went to the East Los Angeles Women's Center.
Kate Durbin is a Los Angeles based performance artist and writer. Her books include The Ravenous Audience, E! Entertainment, and ABRA, an interactive iPad app. Her work has been featured in Art in America, Art Forum, Yale's American Scholar, Los Angeles Review of Books, Nylon, and many other venues. She has performed at MOCA, the Hammer, and most recently for the Pulse Art Fair at Art Basel Miami.
